The model
A Netra Eye Institute center delivers Netra Restoration Therapy (NRT), a structured integrative program that combines acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Ayurveda, and lifestyle guidance to support retinal and optic-nerve health. Patients stay under the care of their ophthalmologist or optometrist; Netra works alongside that care, not instead of it.
The model is focused on one clinical category, runs on direct-pay programs rather than insurance reimbursement, and is built around long-term patient relationships. Centers treat 30+ chronic conditions, from macular degeneration and glaucoma to retinitis pigmentosa and keratoconus.

Three kinds of owners open Netra centers. Each has a different path, and the franchise site walks through all three.
Clinicians
Acupuncturists, TCM and Ayurvedic practitioners, naturopathic doctors, and integrative physicians who want a focused specialty practice with protocols, training, and peer support behind it.
Conversions
Optometry, acupuncture, and integrative clinics that want to add a Netra center to space they already run, subject to territory and clinical fit.
Partners
Non-clinician owners can operate through an approved management-services structure while licensed professionals direct clinical care, where state law allows.
19.8M
people aged 40+ in the US living with AMD
9.6M
people in the US living with diabetic retinopathy
4.2M
people in the US living with glaucoma
93M
US adults at high risk for serious vision loss
Most of these patients are managed, not improved. Demand for coordinated complementary care is growing, and almost no one is serving it with a dedicated eye-care model. Netra has spent years building the protocols, the outcome tracking, and the patient base; franchising is how that reaches more communities.

A word from our founder
“I built Netra because I kept meeting patients who had run out of options. The results we see here should not depend on living within driving distance of New Jersey. If you are a practitioner who shares that frustration, or a partner who wants to build something that matters, I would like to talk with you.”
