Reviewing clinical findings at Netra Eye Institute

Patient Case Studies

Examining individual treatment experiences in a structured clinical format.

Examining individual treatment experiences

Every patient arrives at Netra Eye Institute with a different diagnosis, treatment history, level of structural damage, and set of functional goals.

Our case studies present selected patient experiences in a structured format. They are intended to help patients and healthcare professionals better understand:

  • Why the patient sought complementary care
  • The condition and symptoms present before treatment
  • The Netra Restoration Therapy schedule completed
  • The clinical or functional measures reviewed
  • The changes reported or observed
  • The limitations and interpretation of the case

Case studies cannot establish that a treatment will produce the same outcome in other patients. They can, however, help identify clinical patterns and generate questions for further investigation.

What is included in each case study?

Patient presentation

The patient’s age range, diagnosis, disease duration, major symptoms, functional limitations, and relevant health history.

Previous and continuing treatment

Medications, injections, procedures, surgeries, nutritional strategies, or other treatments received before or during care at Netra Eye Institute.

Baseline findings

Relevant information may include visual acuity, visual fields, optical coherence tomography, retinal imaging, contrast sensitivity, reading function, pain measurements, or patient-reported symptoms.

NRT treatment plan

The duration and structure of the treatment course, including the integrative therapeutic components selected for the patient.

Observed or reported changes

Changes may be based on clinical testing, functional assessments, patient-reported experiences, or a combination of these measures.

Clinical interpretation

A careful discussion of what changed, what remained unchanged, and which conclusions should or should not be drawn from the individual case.

Follow-up

Where available, follow-up information may describe whether the improvement persisted, changed, or required additional treatment.

For patients

These cases may help patients understand how other people with chronic eye conditions have approached complementary care.

A case that appears similar to your own does not mean that you will experience the same outcome. A clinical consultation is necessary to consider your diagnosis, structural findings, medical history, and treatment goals.

For physicians and healthcare professionals

We welcome communication from ophthalmologists, optometrists, neurologists, primary-care physicians, acupuncturists, and other healthcare professionals interested in learning about a shared patient’s treatment.

With appropriate patient authorization, our team can provide information regarding:

  • Treatment dates and attendance
  • The NRT treatment plan
  • Patient-reported changes
  • Available pre- and post-treatment findings
  • Recommendations for continued ophthalmologic monitoring

Privacy and patient authorization

Published case studies are shared only with appropriate patient authorization. Personally identifying information may be removed or modified to protect privacy.

Clinical images, test results, quotations, and videos are used only when the patient has provided written permission specifying how the information may be published.
