Meet our Founder and Director
Dr. Saikumar Gandapodi, DAOM, Dipl. OM, L.Ac. is the founder and director of Netra Eye Institute. He practices an integrative approach to health care using three ancient systems of health care, i.e. Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy.
Saikumar specializes in the treatment of chronic eye diseases, orthopedic disorders, fertility and internal medicine.
He is board certified and is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in NY and NJ.
He is also classically trained in Ayurvedic Medicine and a graduate in Yoga Therapy.
Saikumar received his masters degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, NY and currently undergoing his Post Graduate Doctoral program (DAOM/PhD) with Five Branches University.
Meet our Consultant
Dr. B. G. Gokulan, BAMS, FAIP (USA) is the Chief Practioner & CEO at Sudarshanam Netra Chikitsalayam, India. He is an Ayurveda practitioner with a sole aim of providing highest quality of unique treatments to all his patients.
Dr. Gokulan after graduation in Ayurveda from prestigious Coimbatore Ayurveda College (for 7 1/2 years Gurukula model) had in house training under Gurus like Late Ashta Vaidyan Vaidya Madhom Valiya Narayanan Namboodiri Late VaidyaBhooshanam Raghavan thirumulpad and Late Netracharya N.V.Kuttikrishnan Nair. He was also invited by Padmabhooshan Dr.S.S.Badrinath of Sankara Nethralaya Chennai for an informal fellowship on Modern Ophthalmology diagnostics and research. Dr.Gokulan carries about a quarter century of expertise in clinical Ayurveda.
