New Patient FAQ
As a new patient you may have questions on our treatment methods and process. We have tried to capture some of the frequently asked questions a new patient encounters.

Your first appointment will be around 1 to 1.5 hrs and will consist of detailed consulation with the doctor followed by an acupuncture treatment session.
Upon checkin, the front desk staff will provide you with the required forms to be complete. Your profile information along with your profile photo would be entered into our confidential HIPAA compliant medical system along with your payment details.
A medical assistant staff would then take your vitals and record into our HIPAA compliant medical system for review by the doctor.
Once the appointment begins you will be taken to our consultation room with the doctor to discuss your health concern. The consultation with the doctor can range from 30 to 45 minutes.
At the end of the consultation the doctor will explain the required list of treatments for your conditions and the number of sessions needed for each treatment.
Your treatment sessions may be scheduled the same day or on another day based on the availability.

It is highly recommended to have some food before your acupuncture session and not come in hungry or during fasting. This will prevent you from getting dizzy or light-headed.
You would have to complete the entire course of your treatment as determined by the doctor before you start to see improvements.
No. Acupuncture needles are about as thick as a human hair. In fact, about 35 acupuncture needles can be fit into a hypodermic needle (the needle used for blood tests). You may feel a brief prick at the insertion site or you may feel nothing at all when the needles are inserted. This is all followed by a dull, heavy sensation that can be very calming. Patients are often surprised how relaxing an acupuncture treatment is. In fact, many patients actually fall asleep on the table during a treatment.
Yes, we do treat children . Our clinic will see children for treatments ages 6 and older. We ask that all minors be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for their treatment.
We do not accept any insurance. However we can provide you with a super bill if you wish to submit to reimburse with your insurance for your acupuncture treatments.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, HSA and FSA cards, as well as cash and checks.
Yes we do. Acupuncture is a covered service for HSA/FSA plans.
All no-shows and cancellations incur the full appointment fee.
We request you to call in to cancel appointments if you cannot make it to make the slot available for patients in wait list.
